Adaptation of consular activities
In view of the developing health situation and in line with the advice of the British authorities, the Consulate General is adapting its activity to dealing with recognized emergencies.
The issuing of identity and travel documents has been suspended. Appointments made have been cancelled.
When the health situation in the UK allows the Consulate to open safely to the public and consular staff (under adapted conditions), arrangements for the gradual opening-up of the premises will be outlined on the website and Twitter account @ConsulFranceUK.
For the time being, it will be possible to deal only with urgent procedures that are duly justified.
These include the provision of emergency passports and passes for French nationals resident in or visiting the UK whose journeys are urgent.
Identity documents may not currently be collected from the Consulate. They will be kept at the Consulate until its premises open again to the general public.
We remind you that the suspension of travel between non-European countries and the European Union, which President Macron announced in his speech of 16 March 2020, DOES NOT APPLY to the UK.
You can still contact your consulate by email firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone Monday to Saturday, 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. on the following number: 00 44 207 073 13 50
