BREXIT: all visa-related provisions of European Union law will continue to apply until December 31, 2020.

BREXIT - As the UK formally leaves the European Union on January 31 at 11:00 pm (British time), all visa-related provisions of European Union law will continue to apply until the end the transition period scheduled for December 31, 2020.

This means in particular that British Nationals continue to be exempted from both short-stay and long-stay visas to travel and settle in France, as well as in the French DROM-CTOM.

Family members of British nationals still benefits from the provisions of Directive 2004/38/EC on the rights of EU citizens and members of their families.
