Call for proposals: UCL- French Embassy Funded Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Doctoral and Postdoctoral Workshops
Deadline: 30th October 2017 at 17:00.
Visit the online application form.
Proposals are invited for funding of up to £2500 for collaborative workshops between UCL doctoral students or postdoctoral researchers and colleagues based in France, specifically focusing on research in arts, humanities or the social sciences, broadly conceived. All workshops must be held at UCL before the 30th of June 2018.
We now invite UCL-based doctoral students or postdoctoral researchers, with the support of a senior academic colleague, to apply for funding to organise collaborative workshops for this call of the current UCL / French Embassy collaborative agreement. Proposals must include participants from UCL and from Higher Education institutions in France.
This component of UCL and the French Embassy’s longstanding partnership aims to encourage junior and senior scholars to establish new directions for possible research collaborations – not only in their own areas of expertise, but also across disciplines.
The initiative seeks both to build on existing links and to stimulate new ones between UCL and French academic and Higher Education organisations, such as French universities, Grand Écoles and research organisations.
A minimum of 2 workshops will be assigned funding, assuming sufficient suitable applications.
Around £2,500 per workshop is available.
For full eligibility, criteria and award administration details, visit the online application form.
Apply by 30th October 2017.
Proposals will be assessed by a selection panel, jointly chaired by the Pro-Vice-Provost (Europe) and the Higher Education Attaché of the French Embassy.
