Coronavirus - COVID-19: evolving situation

Because of the developing health situation, the French Consulate General is adapting its activity.

The issuing of identity and travel documents has been suspended.

It will be possible to deal only with urgent procedures that are duly justified.
These include the provision of emergency passports and passes for French nationals resident in or visiting the UK whose journeys are recognized as being urgent.

We reiterate that the suspension of travel between non-EU countries and the European Union, announced by the French President in his speech on 16 March 2020, DOES NOT APPLY to the United Kingdom.

The Consulate General may be contacted by email at or by telephone, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on 00 44 207 073 12 55.

Our website includes a FAQ which answers many of the questions we are being asked in telephone calls. We are adding to and updating this in line with the changing situation. You are asked to consult this before contacting us.
