Four French "Boosters" labelled in the space sector
Four "boosters" have been labelled by French Secretaries of State MM. Jean-Yves Le Drian and Emmanuel Macron, and Minister for Higher Education and Research M. Thierry Mandon. They aim at fostering projects accelerators in the field of space and digital technologies.
Those organisations will be managed by the Competitiveness Clusters (Pôles de Compétitivité). Their goal is to create a fruitful environment for opening up and fostering exchanges between sectors, in order to harness spatial data and support innovative projects.
Selected boosters are:
- Booster Morespace: located in Brittany - accelerate the use of satellite data and techniques in the maritime area;
- Booster Nova: located around Toulouse, Bordeaux and Montpellier - support emerging services and startups in 6 areas: blue growth; energy; smart cities; agriculture; space and quality of life control; Southern economies;
- Booster PACA: located in Provence-Alpes Côtes d’Azur - create applications on: security, ecotechnologies, geolocalisation and smart cities;
- Booster Seine Espace: located between Paris and Normandy - create services on: cities and mobility; logistics; energy; climatology; environment; leisure activities; education; etc.
