The announcement was made during the Go International conference 2019: collaborate to innovate, which took place on 26 June 2019.

The Go International campaign, launched by UUKi, the international arm of UUK, the association representing UK universities, aims to double the percentage of UK undergraduates who study, work, or volunteer abroad to 13% by the end of 2020. France is one of the top destinations of UK students (1st destination within Erasmus+ framework) and with the recent opening of a Campus France office in London, it is the opportunity to encourage more UK students to come to France for their studies.

Along with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Campus France has accepted to become a partner of the campaign and pledges to:

  • use its networks to promote the campaign amongst French institutions;
  • inform UK students of opportunities to study in France, summer schools and scholarships through a dedicated Campus France London desk;
  • organise events such as a pre-departure seminar about studying in France;
  • launch a new alumni network for UK students who have spent time in France.
