Jean-Yves Le Drian takes part in G7 talks in London
The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs took part in the G7 Foreign and Development Minister’s Meeting in London, under the UK’s presidency

Jean-Yves Le Drian, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, has taken part in the G7 Foreign and Development Minister’s Meeting in London.
The G7 foreign ministers exchanged views on the crises and major issues in the area of international politics. They were joined by the foreign ministers of South Africa, Australia, South Korea, India and Brunei (the current chair of ASEAN), who were invited to take part in several segments of the meeting, notably including a session devoted to the Indo-Pacific region.
This ministerial meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the defence of democratic values in the face of the rise in authoritarian regimes.
In addition the ministers discussed ways to ensure a sustainable recovery in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, including by reaffirming their support for the ACT-A initiative, the COVID-19 Tools Accelerator, and its COVAX Facility, which supports global vaccination efforts. (…)./.
