Launch of COP21: France commits to the climate
Less than 100 days until the COP 21 conference, the President, François Hollande, presided over the event "France commits to the climate. Ahead of COP21", Thursday 10 September 2015 at the Elysée Palace
This was an essential meeting for showing the strength and unity of ‘Team France’ in the final stretch before the Paris Climate Conference (COP 21), which takes place in December.
France will play a leading role internationally in bringing points of view closer together and facilitating the search for a consensus within the United Nations and the European Union, which has an important role in the climate negotiations.
More than 400 people were invited for COP21’s official launch, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development, President of COP21, taking part in the event and answering questions from young participants. There were many planned highlights, such as the presentation of the first images of the Bourget site and the unveiling of the COP21 stamp.
