The Nuclear Department contributes to the development of political, scientific and economic relations in the field of nuclear energy and acts an interface between French and British stakeholders: ministries, and industrial and research organizations.
It also works to strengthen bilateral cooperation between France and the UK, particularly by:
- providing technological oversight and relaying information on the UK’s energy programme and its stakeholders
- cooperation activities in the field of nuclear R&D
- representing French industrial interests with British authorities and institutions
In addition, the Nuclear Department represents the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) in the United Kingdom for all its fields of research, nuclear matters and other energy, information and health technologies.
