The Seed Meetings programme of the French Embassy in the United Kingdom aims to facilitate international cooperation between researchers in the UK and France.

Thanks to the logistics and financial supports of the Higher Education, Research and Innovation Department of the French Embassy in London, twelve researchers from the department of Environment and Agrifood of the Cranfield University and the department of Biological Engineering of the University of Technology of Compiègne met in London on 16th and 17th October 2018. The aim was to identify potential research and innovation synergies between both teams, and to intensify the research collaborations between the two universities. The meeting was very fruitful and potential partnership was identified in the area of bioactive molecules from plants. Both teams are currently in close discussion to identify suitable bilateral and international calls for proposals to establish a formal research partnership between both universities.
