Seed Meeting - The Heart of Ageing

The Seed Meetings programme of the French Embassy in the United Kingdom aims to facilitate international cooperation between researchers in the UK and France.

On the 31st of May and the 1st of June, Professor Sarah Franklin, Dr Noémie Merleau-Ponty, Dr Karen Jent, Dr Lucy van de Wiel and Marieke Bigg, all members of the Reproductive Sociology Research Group (University of Cambridge) met with members of the SenHeart network, represented by Dr Michel Pucéat and Dr Jean-marc Lemaitre from the National Institute for Health and Medical Research (France, Marseille and Montpellier) and Dr Kathleen Meyer from the Institute for Research in Biomedicine Barcelona.

This “Seed Meeting” event, called The Heart of Ageing and hosted by the Embassy of France in London, was an opportunity to discuss interdisciplinary themes (senescence and ageing) at the intersection of the life and social sciences.
