Seed meeting "Data-driven control for engineering flows symposium" [fr]
Workshop "Data-driven control for engineering flows symposium" was held on the 8th and 9th october 2020 and was organised by Dr Florimond Guéniat from Birmingham City University (BCU).
The seed meeting "Data-driven control for engineering flows symposium" was held on the 8th and 9th october 2020 and was part of the selected project from the first call of 2020.
The meeting was organised by Dr Florimond Guéniat from Birmingham City University (BCU) and Dr Laurent Cordier from Pprime, France, it took place online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The workshop involved researchers from Birmingham City University, University of Liverpool, CNRS, ENSAM and ENSTA-Paris.
The consortium agenda was articulated around the identification of potential research and innovation synergies between the consortium members, and the identification of research collaborations between the institutions. The meeting focused on two points.
- The first day was devoted on engineering configurations of interests, such as flow past cars, boats and trains.
- The second day was focused on data-driven methods associated to modelling and controlling fluid flows, both in terms of applications and theory. Among the highlights of the meeting, discussions and strong enthusiasm on the implemention of some machine learning based methodologies was identified with a particular emphasises on the internal expertise on the developpement and the experimental aspect.
