FERN-UK, launched in 2021, is the network of French researchers in the UK
The Higher Education, Research and Innovation (HERI) department of the French Embassy in the United Kingdom is supporting the initiative of French researchers to create FERN-UK, a network of excellence for French Education and Research Network in the United-Kingdom.
FERN-UK aims to bring together French researchers based in the United Kingdom in order to support Franco-British research collaborations in universities or private sectors, to provide support for exchanges of graduate students and to create a dynamic of information and discussion within the community. This network is extended to British Francophile scientists who wish to participate.

This network is complementary to the France ALUMNI-UK network (supported by the Campus France space of SESRI and aiming at British residents who have studied in France.

FERN-UK is an apolitical network with a duty of neutrality. This network should not be used to promote scientific careers.
FERN-UK recognizes that all of its members, whatever their origins, gender, social situation, state of health, convictions or beliefs, have the same right to be part of this network.
The HERI department will act as a facilitator for the first stages of creation and structuring of FERN-UK, the network will then be supported on a voluntary basis. among registered members. You will find a presentation of the current board here.
